What is Factory Reset? How to do it!
Manually deleting each piece of data individually is tiresome and utterly wasteful. If you are handing the phone over to someone or simply need to get rid of all the data on your device, you will want a way to delete all of it at once. There is a lot to be removed on a phone that has been in use for a long period of time: Documents, pictures, videos, text messages, and so much more. So, to wipe out everything from the Android device, you can perform the factory reset.
How to do Factory Reset in Android:
1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button and go to Settings.
2. Select Privacy and then Factory data reset.
3. Verify the information on the screen and press Reset phone.
The process may take a few moments, but the phone will eventually reboot and ask you for your credentials. Once logged in, if you selected for apps to restore themselves, they will begin downloading after opening the Android Market and agreeing to the Terms of Service again. Additionally, any other services you had synced to the phone will restore their data as well.
How to do Factory Reset in Windows:
Your laptop or PC is probably one of the most useful devices you
own, and comes in handy whether you’re buying presents, sorting your taxes or booking a holiday. That means it’s usually full of personal, sensitive information – stuff you’d want to remove when it comes to selling or disposing of your laptop. One of the best ways to wipe the hard disk clean is to reset your Windows PC, and if you’ve got Windows 10, it’s relatively easy to do.
1) To factory reset Windows 10, you need to go to the Recovery section inside the System settings. To go to the Recovery section, search for "reinstall" in the search tool then click on "Reset this PC" in the search results as shown below.
2) Now, in the Recovery section of Windows 10, click on the Get started button just below the heading "Reset this PC" to start restoring Windows 10 to factory settings.
3) Remember, factory resetting Windows 10 will reinstall Windows 10, change the PC settings to their defaults, and remove all your files. Click Restore factory settings.
4) If your Windows 10 PC has more than one partitions on the hard drive, you will see the screen showing "Your PC has more than one drive".
